WELCOME!
We’re glad you’re checking us out! Let us know if you have any questions.
Worship
St. Luke’s has two very different worship services. At 8:30 we have a traditional service where we sing hymns, have traditional liturgy such as prayers of confession and creeds that we all read together, and follow a traditional order of worship. Music will be piano or organ, and we have a chancel choir, a bell choir, and special music in the summer. At 11:00 we have a contemporary service. We sing music you’ll hear on contemporary Christian radio stations (such as Joy FM, 99.1), there are rarely things the congregation reads together, and the music is led by our praise band.
The Message
Pastor David shares the same message at both services. Using Scripture as his primary source, he brings a message that applies God’s Word to our lives in clear, practical ways. He draws on life experience, and the culture we live in, to make what he shares relevant to the lives we lead every day.
People
At St. Luke’s you’ll be worshiping with ordinary people like you. Some have been members here a long time. Others have just found their way here and are exploring this thing called church, and the relationship God wants to have with us. Every person here, including you, is important, and valued. You’ll like some of us more than others, you’ll learn more from some than others, but we’re all on a journey, seeking to grow closer to the God who came so close to us, and we’re happy to share that journey with you.
Kids
Sunday School
At 10:00 we have Sunday School opportunities for all ages. Check out each class and find the one that clicks with you. We’re on a journey together, and Sunday School is a great way to grow closer to God while connecting with others in the church.
Dress
Don’t worry too much about what you’re going to wear to church. Some people dress in their “Sunday Best.” Some dress very casually. Some are in between. Nobody is going to tell you that you are wearing the wrong thing, no matter how you’re dressed. We’re just happy to have you here.
