Our Music Director – Tom Schmidt
Tom brings many years of experience playing the organ and directing choirs, both vocal and hand-bell. Tom brings an enthusiasm of helping people worship God through music. He believes that people can worship God using many different styles of music. This is evident in the two worship services we have at St. Luke’s. At the traditional service at 8:30, he provides accompaniment for congregational singing on the organ or piano as well as directing the Chancel Choir or Hand-bell Choir. At the 11:00 praise service, he leads the band and plays the keyboard to provide a more contemporary sound.

Tom has been playing since he was five years old and holds a master’s degree in organ. Tom met his wife here at St. Luke’s and together they have five children.  Tom enjoys working with everybody to help create an environment of worship that promotes a closer relationship with God. He invites anyone who is interested in joining any of the music groups to contact him.
