Our Pastor – Ann Mowery

Pastor Ann Mowery wants everyone to know the overwhelming love of God through Jesus Christ. She’s excited to be in ministry at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where we’re finding ways to build relationships with the people of South County, and bring God’s love to them.  Pastor Ann is an elder in the United Methodist Church with 17 years of experience as a pastor in Missouri, and was appointed to St. Luke’s July 2010.
She, her husband Don, and their son James bring their varied gifts and experiences to St. Luke’s, and have quickly become part of this faith community.  Pastor Ann shares her love of Christ with children, youth and adults. She wants everyone to know that the most important thing to God is that He is the most important thing to us. Her relationship with Him is truly the most important thing in her life.

Our Music Director – Tom Schmidt
Tom brings many years of experience playing the organ and directing choirs, both vocal and hand-bell. Tom brings an enthusiasm of helping people worship God through music. He believes that people can worship God using many different styles of music. This is evident in the two worship services we have at St. Luke’s. At the traditional service at 8:30, he provides accompaniment for congregational singing on the organ or piano as well as directing the Chancel Choir or Hand-bell Choir. At the 11:00 praise service, he leads the band and plays the keyboard to provide a more contemporary sound.
Tom has been playing since he was five years old and holds a master’s degree in organ. Tom met his wife here at St. Luke’s and together they have five children.  Tom enjoys working with everybody to help create an environment of worship that promotes a closer relationship with God. He invites anyone who is interested in joining any of the music groups to contact him.
